StruxC-MC successfully completed an elevator modernization project at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). The project included the removal of the existing elevator, structural modifications, and the installation of a new, larger elevator to improve capacity and improve accessibility.
As part of the upgrades, StruxC-MC constructed four new entry vestibules and modified the stairwells. This work involved selective demolition of masonry walls and the removal of existing handrails, which were replaced with modern, code compliant railings.
