Moser Tower Rehabilitation

StruxC-MC worked closely with the City of Naperville to carry out a comprehensive rehabilitation project of Moser Tower, which is located in downtown Naperville alongside the riverwalk. The tower is home to the Millennium Carillon, considered one of the four largest carillon structures in the United States.

How to Make Ends Meet- Truss Repair

Foundry Expansion Project

StruxC-MC was hired to construct a foundry addition for the plant's new 250,000-pound furnace. The logistics of supporting and moving this large furnace in place dictated the construction sequencing, which included partial construction of foundations and building frame, installation of the melting furnace and completion of the building around the furnace.
Foundation Wall Repair

The CMU basement wall foundation of this two-story condominium building was failing rapidly and needed immediate attention to avert disaster. StruxC-MC was contracted to shore up the building structure and remove and replace foundation with a new CMU reinforced wall.

Placing concrete in cold weather presents a series of problems that need to be carefully addressed for successful results. These problems are compounded when placing mass concrete in cold weather. When StruxC-MC was hired to construct an equipment pad for a 250,000 lb machine, we took on that challenge.
The specifications required a maximum concrete temperature variance of 35 degrees Fahrenheit for 7 days after placement. We needed a thermal control plan and a way to monitor it.
